Lion Brand?s New Yarn Studio to be featured on Martha Stewart Show

Manhattan, New York – April 3, 2009 – Martha Stewart visited the new Lion Brand Yarn Studio in Manhattan to record a video segment about knitting and crochet and to showcase the retail store that Lion Brand opened on November 18, 2008. The segment is scheduled to air on the Martha Stewart Show on Monday, March 23rd. The episode will also feature a fashion show highlighting the latest trends in knitting and crochet.

During her visit to the Lion Brand Yarn Studio, Ms. Stewart was accompanied by her two French bulldogs, Francesca and Sharkey. Ms. Stewart is a great fan of knitting and asked if the designers at Lion Brand could create sweaters for her dogs. The designers were happy to oblige and created two unique sweaters with Lion Brand’s Nature’s Choice Organic Cotton, a 100 percent organic cotton yarn, dyed according to the Global Organic Textile Standard of the Institute of Marketology. The entire creative process, from concept to the final products, was recorded for the March 23rd episode.

The episode will also feature a fashion show, sponsored by Lion Brand, which will showcase the latest fashion trends in knitting and crochet. Following the show, all of the patterns showcased, including the sweater patterns for Francesca and Sharkey, will be available on the Lion Brand Web site, LionBrand.com, for free download.

“We always have a great experience working with Martha Stewart,” said David Blumenthal, CEO of Lion Brand Yarn. “Her passion for crafting is inspiring, and it is a pleasure to share our expertise with her audience.”

MARTHA: the Martha Stewart Show averages 1.5 million viewers. The episode featuring Lion Brand airs on Monday, March 23rd, 2009. Check local listings for time and channel.

Cards – Cupcake Birthday Card by Martha Stewart Crafts (kit) – Part 2

Hi, love this birthday card kit by Martha Stewart Crafts. It has honeycomb! This video shows how I made the cupcake card. I made the mistake of trying to stamp Versamark in the card – it doesn’t work like I thought it would. Used bling and pebbles, it looks great :) Thanks for watching!
