how I put together my homemade RC light kit with 40 lights. I used this light kit once already on my Firebird Phantom RC airplane and here is the link to that video…. www.youtube.com I bought the battery operated LED lights from Michaels Craft store last year after Halloween was over. However, I cannot find them again through Michaels, but here is the link to the exact lights that I used on their website…. www.michaels.com Here is the link to a website that carries battery operated …
Check out their website now. I saw them on there under seasonal.
No problem
Thanks for the tips. I like the bright lights. Makes it easier to see in the dark.
You might want to coat the underside of the wings with opaque tape to make it more friendly to the eyes and hide the wires
Yes, but I can get the lights cheaper at Michaels craft store and have more lights.
It adds a couple ounces.
hey joe the lights your looking for are at radio shack for real cheap an its like 5 in a pack
cool
how much is the weight(with battery)?
Did you check the video responses to this video? All my related videos are there tulvatalo.

They work great and are cheap to put together. Thanks for watching bbrmotorsports.
yea works great, but not so energy efficient tho,
I got these lights from a craft store called Micheals really cheap. Yes, you can put them on your car richboy.
where do u get these? looks nice. can u put it on model cars?
When I can get around tuit, I am making another light kit with more lights on it for this plane. Thanks for watching kevin1032v.
cool lots of lights looks awesome
Yes, that is an option, but I decided to add another lipo battery for the lights. It gives me more flying time at night. Thanks for watching cameraman.
can’t you just hook up the power to the main firebird battery?
lol… Try using an arrow and string. I hear that works jgizz31.
very nice the next how to video you should make is how to get a plan out of a 60 foot tree . i almost had it the i looked awat no its permentily air born
Your setup is bright and looks pretty cool too Greg. Thanks for the comment.
There are two strands of lights connected together each requiring 3 volts so in parallel that would be 6 volts. The lipo I used was a 7.4 lipo so it did have just a little more juice than I needed, but proved to be fun at night. The next light kit will be bigger so I wont have to worry about too many volts then. Thanks for the comment Skyranger93.
Well it works fine and I looped the plane and did everything else you could do with it during the initial day time flying check before I flew it at night. Thanks for the comment Dave.
Thanks for watching and the kind words Robert.
I try to keep my spare RC parts as down the road they come in handy for something. Thanks for the comment HCK.
