   The Carpenters were an inspiration to me during my childhood; songs one could sing along to and enjoy. Karen is greatly missed by so many (RIP). x

   An absolutely appropriate and inspirational homage to The Carpenters, Klaatu (who wrote the song), and Star Trek. We miss you, Karen!

    @LuckyLyle58…you don’t have to miss her voice or music. you can listen to it all you want for free right here on utube! lol

    On another subject, when i click on the “reply” button, the box pops up underneath the comment I want to reply to, but after I post my comment, it winds up at the very top of the comment list instead of below the comment I am responding to. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

    How dare you compare belief in aliens with religion? We know there are billions of stars per galaxy and that there are billions of galaxies. Yet, some would actually believe that what has happened here has happened nowhere else.

    Wonderful!! I love the original “Star Trek” and The Message & vision of hope for the future — in this uncertain time we need to hear it again…
    And Karen is soo beautiful in this…I was CRYING…

    THIS IS SO MAGICAL, you can feel it! WOW, when Karen sings she takes you into a magical world, her voice is so powerful!, it truly is! WOW I wish she was still around, she is the best singer then, and FOREVER! New singers will come and go, BUT KAREN WILL OUTSHINE THEM ALL FOR ETERNITY!.

    wat r u seeing? i luv it. this is an exquisette video that sumbody put together. he inserted the music video onto star trek voyager viewscreen, pretty well done. r u saying u dont like the Carpenters?

    I had the original album by Klaatu and didn’t realize that the Carpenter’s had ever did this. (until today) Excellent cover. Excellent video.
